People of Karachi, here’s an interesting probability for all those who are Japanese Culture and Art enthusiasts! We are inaugurating a 7-day Travelling Exhibition by using Japan Foundation known as Photographic Images & Matter – Japanese Prints of the 1970s, taking vicinity from January twenty-fourth – 28th, 30th, and thirty-first 2023, in Japan Culture and Information Center, Karachi.
This exhibition will be hosted by means of the Consulate-General of Japan in Karachi, in collaboration with Pakistan Japan Cultural Association (PJCA), Sindh.
Photographic Images & Matter – Japanese Prints of the 1970s, is a Travelling Exhibition with fifty-one artwork portions being displayed in specific international locations around the world. These artwork portions are divided into two sections: ‘An age of Photographic Expression’ and ‘Images of Autonomous Matter’.
While viewing the exhibition, you’ll be in a position to see how the Nineteen Seventies Japanese artists introduced an evolution in photographic print-making the place a range of extraordinary substances was once used such as print blocks, paper, ink, stone etc, for printing, remodelling the pics into a piece of the fabric itself, marking it as a new style round the world.
